LATEST NEWS |
|
Coalville Light
Orchestra moved to the church
during the summer school holidays.
A good number still attended with piano having additional work filling in
for missing players!
From September 7th 2010 until the end of term we are
back at the school.
Members of the
Chamber Music
Group have also been meeting
regularly.
Their purpose is to practise and improve their standard in small
ensemble.
Beethoven and Weber trios were the initial
works tried together with cello sonatas
by Beethoven, Brahms and Grieg, and (in Sheffield) the Mozart Piano
Quartet K478.
Franck Bridge's 1917 cello sonata was the biggest challenge with Schumann
op 73 the latest piece.
Haydn Trios feature in the Autumn of 2010 programme. |
